The formula for circumference of a circle

C = 2 · π · r

Description:

C – circumference of a circle

π – number pi = 3,1415

r – radius (distance from the center of the circle to a point on the circle)

 

Example:

Calculate the circumference of a circle with a radius of 4 cm.

 

C = 2 · π · r

C = 2 · 3,1415· 4 cm

C = 25,132 cm
