Formula – area of a circle
A = π • r2
A – area of a circle
π – number pi = 3,1415
r – radius (distance from the center of the circle to a point on the circle)
Example:
Calculate the area of a circle with a radius of 6 cm.
A = π • r2
A = 3,1415 • (6cm •6cm)
A = 3,1415 • 36 cm2
A = 113,094 cm2
